Erasmus

The Department of Agriculture, Ichthyology and Aquatic Environment has signed 17 bilateral agreements with other European departments (/docs/files/uploads/erasmus/TGIYP-24.1.20.pdf) for student mobility for STUDIES and INTERNSHIPS.

Also, the Erasmus + program through IKY offers Jobs (trainee) through transnational agreements (www.iky.gr).

The number of outgoing students of the Department of STUDIES and Internships has increased in the recent years. Due to the diverse nature of the Department through the scientific subjects that are served, it has also been an important means of selecting foreign students who have moved to the Department and Staff for Teaching / Education.

Within the framework of the bilateral agreements of the Department, professors and technical staff of the collaborating institutions have visited and given lectures / seminars to the undergraduate students. In 2016 a technical staff member of "Istanbul University" visited the department, while in 2017 a Professor from "Laboratoire d 'Océanologie et de Geosciences, CNRS-UMR" and a technical staff member from the Instituto Politécnico de Setubal visited the department ”.

For outgoing students

The Erasmus + program offers a unique opportunity for student mobility, primarily aimed at gaining the academic experience of studying at a university abroad. The Department of Agriculture, Ichthyology and Aquatic Environment encourages these activities and informs its students, at the beginning and during the academic year, of all procedures in order to apply for relocation. Mobility for STUDIES and PRACTICE has the comparative advantage of broadening the student's horizons both academically and culturally. It is also an important lifelong link building and an important opportunity to look for Universities to continue your studies, or to look for a job after graduation.

Since 2004, the Department has signed 46 mobility contracts for undergraduate students, of which 33 for STUDIES and 13 for Internships.

The department has also signed cooperation agreements with INSTITUTIONS (Public and Private) for 3 degree holders, 1 postgraduate and 2 doctoral candidates in the PRACTICE.

For ingoing students

The academic year of study (October - May) is designed for attending and examining courses beyond Greek and English.

The Department accepts students either for one semester (30 ECTS) or for the entire academic year (60 ECTS).

The structure of the study program of the Department, as well as the very good level of the laboratories both in terms of material infrastructure and human resources, make DIAE the ideal academic environment for studies and acquisition of skills.

Additionally, for Erasmus + student members visiting the University of Thessaly, there are many opportunities to participate in a wide range of activities provided free of charge such as (yoga, theater, photography, music, etc.).
