Evangelia Farsirotou is a Professor at the Department of Ichthyology and Aquatic Environment, University of Thessaly in Greece and member of the «Echohydraulics and Ιnland Water Management» Laboratory. She is Civil Engineer with Master in Hydraulic Engineering and doctoral studies in the field of River Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her research interests include computational fluid dynamics in free-surface flows (CFD models), numerical and experimental simulation of hydrodynamic and sediment transport parameters in rivers, water surface and river bed level variation, erosion and deposition in rivers, integrated river ecosystem management, mapping and flood hazard management. She became director of the Postgraduate Studies “Advanced Environmental Management Technologies in Engineering Works”, University of Thessaly (2015-2021). She has published researched work in journals and international/national conferences and has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University of Thessaly.
