Hydrobiology – Ichthyology Lab (Hi_Lab)

Hi_Lab was established in 1999 at the Department of Ichthyology and Aquatic Environment (DIAE), School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS), University of Thessaly (UTh) and its teaching and research activity focuses on the study of marine vertebrates – invertebrates and plants biology – ecology, freshwater and marine plant / animal reared species and marine mammals. Throughout the years the laboratory has made remarkable achievements in the development of joint research projects both with industry as an active partner and with International Research Institutes / Universities, enhancing the exchange of know-how and know-why on a scientific level with the use of state-of-the-art techniques and protocols.
